Mix :: Malik Lomax :: Live @ Potato Head Beach Club (2011)

Malik Lomax :: Live @ Potato Head Beach Club (4 Sept., 2011)

DC transplant Malik Lomax with a great 3-hour set at Bali's newest glamor magnet, Potato Head Beach Club. In his own words....

WARNING: This mix contains tracks you may not have heard before! This may cause some discomfort to an impatient and/or less experienced listener. For those currently stuck and or biased towards any one genre or familiar sound, several parts will come off as extremely shocking, surprising, & uncomfortable to the ear & soul and therefor would not be recommended. For those who are open to different stuff please enjoy:)

Teahupoo, Tahiti

Phenomenon known as "reef draining", can see the rest of the sequence --->here<---

Photographer Peter "Joli" Wilson...
"I'd watched the horizon angle change a few times this day and had been shooting with a telephoto lens trying to capture the incredible action that was going down in front of me. As this wave started to drain off the reef I grabbed another camera with a wide angle lens attached. I was able to shoot off six frames as the wave sucked water from it's base as through someone had pulled the plug."

YANAN - You Are Not Alone Network

YANAN, or the You Are Not Alone Network, is something my Dad has been working on lately to help suicide prevention in the younger Native American population.  With the lack of education, finances, and sometimes even a helping ear to listen, reservations across the United States are continually plagued by the choice of whether to take your own life.

My Dad has always been about reaching back to the younger generation, I'm sure it fulfills his own inner childhood.  Even if you're not Native, there is plenty of interesting things to check out on the website, words of wisdom as always...
