Mt. Batur

Sick panoramic shot of Mt. Batur my friend Talm took while visiting Bali last month. Gunung Batur is still an active volcano and yes, people still die trying to hike it.

Driving north to it is a steady incline of geography but once you reach the lip of the volcano area in Kintamani, the view is pretty damn breathtaking. As many times as I've seen it, it still puts me a in a state of awe. Talm decided to celebrate with a dance...

THE CAVE

New spot opened up in Petitenget while I was back stateside called The Cave. Very Flintstones-esque decor and a really cool vibe as most times I've been there it's been nothing but disco or funk. I played there this last Saturday night and the party went off, nothing but disco funk killers for the better part of 3.5 hours and a crowd that kept dancing all night long. Probably would have went longer but a certain somebody decided to kill the parking lot by driving their car into a bunch of parked motorbikes outside.... you know who you are!

Sidenote, this was the first time I've used vinyl in over 2.5 years, and I gotta admit I was a bit nervous. Does Serato vinyl still count? Ah well, it does in my book, more Technics 1200's please!!

Changes...

Whether I care to admit it or not, a lot has changed since my last post... new mentality on life, love, and what's important. Back to America for the first time in 2+ years, new job, less djing, and certainly a fresher state of mind (thanks Lita) has landed me back on the grind. Happy belated birthday to me and my blog, will be seeing more posts starting MEOW...
